Each year, the coaches in each flight vote for the one coach in their flight that they believe exhibited the best example of fair play, respect for their opponents and polite behavior and graciousness in winning or losing. The winners in each flight receive a plaque from the SJSL commending them for their demonstration of sportsmanship. The award is voted on by the coach’s peers and is intended to recognize and reward those coaches who are setting the standard in the SJSL.
